You Grow Girl! Fitness
You Grow Girl! Fitness is a personal training business founded by Jen Dixon to meet the "growing" demands of parents and parents-to-be in the Chicago area.  Since 2006, YGG!F aimed to train women who were expecting or already parenting, yet it was not limited to the mom or mother-to-be.  YGG!F has continued to "grow" one the last 8 years, providing services that focus primarily on women's health and fitness.  Jen empowers women by providing opportunities for them to become ambassadors for healthy living not only in their own lives, but in the lives of their families, social relationships and communities.  She believes in sharing the "wealth of health" so that all have a chance to become Fit, Strong and Healthy.

365fitt is proud to bring Jen Dixon on board as one of the Coaches for this upcoming trip for women only to Captiva Island, Florida.   Get information on the trip.

"Jen's philosophy on functional training, women's health, and nutrition align perfectly with the Living 365fitt principles of daily functional activity, good nutrition and emotional balance.  I'm excited about the opportunity for Jen to share her knowledge and skills with the women on our trip."   Kathy Kent

This isn't Jen's first trip with 365fitt.  Earlier this summer, Jen accompanied a group of women on a 365fitt Trip to the Rocky Mountains for a week of hiking.
"I like the idea of taking my clients on fitness retreats.  It's an opportunity for trainer and client to bond, away from family and work; something that doesn't happen if you don't get away.  Being able to immerse yourself in 'making you a priority' is not only important but essential to your well-being."  Jen Dixon

Fitness Trips Great For So Many Things

365fitt new rack card for Trips
Just printed up 1,000 of my new trip cards.  If you want some to pass out, just let me know.

YOU should go on a fitness trip because it gives you a goal and is a great way to jump start a new fitness program.

It's different.  It's fun.  It's for women only.

I've got some great trips remaining for 2013 and 2014:

September 12-17:  Rocky Mountains - Return to Simplicity

This trip is a lot easier than a lot of our other trips and includes gentle moving like yoga and Tai Chi and meditation.  Afternoons include short walks/hikes and/or painting different parts of the park with our attending artist.

November 1-5:  Wine Country, CA

This trip includes morning activities including walking and/or hiking the local state parks, biking the vineyards, and yoga/pilates in the vineyard.  Accommodations are typically in a vineyard location.

February 2-8, 2014:  Captiva Island, FL

This trip is the pinnacle of trips and includes it all:  luxury accommodations on Captiva Island, 3 celebrity trainers, personal chef, good nutrition, on site massage therapist and a heavy dose of walking, kayaking, biking, yoga, pilates and more!

What can you expect in 2014?  I'm still lining up dates and accommodations, but we'll follow about the same places, with a few more.  I've had some great interest from some of my partners to team up and offer new locations and new forms of activity - so stay tuned.  I post the most up to date information on my 365fitt facebook page first, so make sure that you LIKE that page, and come back often.  I also put all information on my website at www.365fitt.com, and in my monthly newsletter.  Make sure you're signed up (go to my website for the link).

365fitt is about training for the event called LIFE, focusing on physical, nutritional and emotional wellness through lifestyle adaptations.  Kathy is available for personal training and wellness consultations and corporate wellness.  365fitt invites you to participate in a Healthy Active Living trip to incredible destinations.  Please visit 365fitt for more information.  Live 365fitt!

Frequently Asked Questions About Fitness Retreats

What exactly is a fitness camp, vacation or retreat?

(For more information - please read directly on 365fitt trips page.)

A fitness retreat (or vacation or camp) is a place where an individual or a group of people find time to improve their health through various structured fitness activities. There is usually a well planned itinerary and, depending on the type of retreat, may include elements of physical, spiritual, and nutritional activity as well as stress reduction.

What are the structured activities you can expect in a fitness retreat?

Most fitness retreat camps are in beautiful locations such as in the mountains, next to a lake, or on a beach. You can expect your fitness retreat to include some kind of daily activity including, but not limited to hiking, walking, running, biking, yoga, pilates, weight training, kayaking, rafting and/or swimming.

What are the leisure activities you can expect in a fitness retreat?

Depending on your location and the type of trip you select, you may experience a form of self indulgence with quiet time (meditation) or a spa treatment perhaps.  Leisure activities on the beach might include reading a quiet book or relaxing by the pool, while leisure activities in the mountains might include shopping in town.

How much will a fitness retreat camp package cost?

The cost of a fitness retreat camp depends on the type of accommodation and the activities you will choose. The more luxurious the accommodation, then the higher the package cost will be. Nevertheless, prices often include meals and snacks, accommodation, massage, wellness education, cultural entertainment, and at times airport transfers.
