Raspberry Ketone Diet: Dr. Oz Again?

Get paid $5 for every pound lost.
Miracle fat burner.
No diet or heavy exercise required.
Dr. Oz approved.

It's very catchy, isn't it?  Do you want to know the truth about Raspberry Ketone diet, one of the many diets sweeping the country with claims of losing 20-30 pounds in just a couple weeks?  Well, here you go:

There is no proof that ingesting Raspberry Ketone before every meal will make you lose weight.

In fact, it's a beautiful marketing scam.  The Dr. Oz website states:

"Research has shown that raspberry ketone can help in your weight-loss efforts, especially when paired with regular exercise and a well-balanced diet of healthy and whole foods."
Dr. Oz even said it, "when paired with regular exercise and a well-balanced diet of healthy and whole foods."  He didn't say it, but he could have added, "and a diet free of processed and fast foods."

Chris Kilham, Fox News reporter states, "According to proponents, raspberry ketone supposedly helps to enhance activity of the human hormone adiponectin, which plays a role in regulating blood glucose and body weight. Adiponectin works in the body to modify blood glucose and insulin."(Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/health/2013/02/18/raspberry-ketone-be-wary-this-diet-trend/#ixzz2c9RFYhMI)

The Studies on Raspberry Ketone

The studies on raspberry ketone have been done on laboratory mice.  Keep in mind that these mice were not fed any processed foods and they did not have access to "snacking".  Those two factors in mind, I would suspect that anyone, mice included would not gain weight, and in fact, may lose weight.

More a Choice

I would suppose that most people that take raspberry ketone that report large amounts of weight loss, are doing a couple of other things that are making them successful:

  1. They are eating good things.
  2. They are avoiding bad things.
  3. They are moving their bodies (regular exercise).
There is probably one other thing that is making them successful:  they want it to be successful.  They are investing money in a product.  Some people are investing as much as $90/month on this product!  They want it to be successful, so they are trying hard at following the rules:  regular exercise and eating good things (and avoiding bad things).  So, it works.

And, just like that, so will anything, if you stick with it.  The most important part of any diet is what you do after you diet.  You 100% must continue to eat healthy nutritious foods.  You must 100% avoid bad foods.  You must 100% continue with regular exercise.  If you don't, there is no diet in the world that will keep the weight off.

Good luck and if I were you - I'd just adopt a healthy lifestyle once and for all.

  1. It is completely understandable that people who says something very good about a product then it is a pure marketing scam. No product can make you lose weight that much faster. Talking about Raspberry Ketone Juice, it is useful in many diseases, including weight loss.
